[4], 28, [1] page, 33 cm. Black and white. Each illustration is printed on an entire page. Soft, printed binding. The illustrations were made in an early era, right after the horrors were disclosed. Printed without a year; however, the artist signed his name on the first picture in this copy with the date 1942.
Erich Glas [1897-1973] was born in Berlin. He studied at the Munich Academy of Art and then, in 1919-1920, in the Bauhaus. He was close to Max Liebermann, and worked under his supervision for a few years.
Rare book, only a few copies were printed. Listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book according to a copy in the Sha’arei Tzion library. The artist signed on each picture in this copy.
Very fine condition, other than light tears on the original jacket.
