Background: Rabbi Yitzchak Bar Sheshet [1326-1408] was a prominent Sephardic sage who moved to Algeria. Due to its large size, this work was printed as separate booklets that were distributed to subscribers who paid ahead for the work. The booklets were distributed in the synagogues on Shabbat; a system that evoked halachic discussions. Refer to: Avraham Yaari, HaDefus HaIvri B’Kushta, Jerusalem, 1967, p. 103, #145. In this copy,the title page is bound at the start of the work.
Condition: Moderate-fine. The bottom margins of 10 leaves have been filled-in with mounted paper. Reinforcements to the margins of the title page and a number of leaves. Aging stains. Scuffed, half-leather binding.
