Birkat Avraham – large comprehensive halachic composition on the laws of blessings and ritual hand-washing, divided into ten parts, with detailed index of 300 laws and in-depth studies, by Rabbi Avraham Trioish. Alvise Bragadin Press. With interesting introduction by the author describing his life story, and the wondrous miracle that occurred to him, how his life was saved on his way to permit agunahs. The author also tells about his dream, in which he saw an elderly man, and the discussion he had with him, and he proves that this man was Eliyahu HaNavi. There are many important approbations to the book, including: a lengthy approbation with extreme praise of the author by Rabbi Yosef Karo, author of Beit Yosef, and the approbation of Rabbi Ya’akov Pollack “Ba’al HaChilukim” and founder of the yeshivah world in Poland – a rare approbation, apparently the only approbation from him. In his humility, the author writes about the superlative approbations that he is undeserving of them, but he is printing them to let it be known that their writers agree with what he wrote in the book.
