Colorful lithographic print, golden frame. The form is not filled out. The is yeshiva’s address is listed as “In the Courtyard of Rabbi Yehuda HaChasid,” before the famous building was erected in the Machane Yehuda neighborhood.

Attached are 3 pages of the United Charities that include Yeshivat Etz Chayim and the Bikur Cholim Hospital, and a colorful yarzheit page of the United Charities. Also a page for the machatzit hashekel for the Orchim Eshel Avraham synagogue in the Mea Sha’arim neighborhood. Various conditions and sizes.

The person behind the publication of this notice was Leizer Ran (1912-1995) who wanted to publish a book in an album format on the community of Vilna. The album with its historic pictures is ??????/ legends in four languages: Hebrew, Yiddish, English and Russian. As an example of his work he published this poster which has in the center a picture of the main synagogue in Vilna. It is noteworthy to mention that there were 160 Batei Knesset and Batei Medrash, public houses of prayer and private minyans.

Rabbi Shimon has in his possession writings from his famous work 'Sefer HaZohar'.
Above writing in French describing Rabbi Shimon as a doctor of (the Law) and a great Talmid Chacham.

Colorful succah decoration. 'Ushpizin'. The names of the seven ushpizin below an illustration of an eagle and a gate inside of which is written the 'Yehi Ratzon' said upon entering a succah, verses concerning the ushpizin with accompanying illustrations, and drawings of leaves. Topped by an illustration of the beis medrash near Rashbi's tomb, the site of the Idra Kadisha, and the tomb of Rabbi Yochanan HaSandlar. Titled "בהמ"ד הרשב"י". The bottom section features the hymn, "Bar Yochai Nimshachta Achrecha" which was composed by kabalist, Rabbi Shimon ben Lavi of Tripoli in the 16th century. The hymn, "Bar Yochai Ki'Nehora Di'Shamsha" was authored by Rabbi Dovid 'L'Am Yadid" in the 17th century.
Both hymns laud Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and are based on kabala. "Bar Yochai Nimshachta Ashrecha" is the most noted hymn today. The Sephardic community customarily recites it on Shabbat from Passover through Shavuot.

The Jewish Synagogue. Description of the interior of the Jewish Synagogue when the Holy Ark is opened and the Torah scrolls are shown to the worshippers. Illustration that was later turned into an engraving. Engraved by M. Pool. Its source is unknown. C. 1732. Explanations of synagogue procedures under the engraving. Men standing in the main hall, flanked by the women's galleries. The Holy Ark is open and the rabbi is lifting the Torah scrolls and blessing the congregation. The cantor stands next to the dais with 2 children at his side.

The Swiss scientist, Johannes Jacob Scheuchzer (1672-1733) believed that the Bible documents history. He started his ambitious project in order to explain Biblical events in scientific terms, however, the Swiss authorities barred its printing. He printed it in Germany in 1731-1735.
In these pictures, all Biblical stories include the relevant details from the depicted chapter. Each illustration has a unique, nice 'border'. Short, German caption under each picture.
Very fine condition. Apparently incomplete.
Hazkara. Shocking Keil malei rachamim prayer in memory of: “…the elderly and young, young men and women, toddlers and babies who were murdered, strangled, slaughtered, and burned like sheep and cows…by means of various incomprehensible and cruel forms of death by accursed sinners, buried alive and burned in the fire…thrown like dung in the fields and forests…left as food for dogs and birds. The land shall not hide their blood…”. 1940’s.

Folds and stuck on cardboard with advertisements of the time. Rabbi Yeshayahu Asher Zelig Margoliot (1894-1969) one of the great sages of Jerusalem, Gaon and kabbalist. Authored many books.
The upper right corner restored. Tears without loss. Moderate condition.
Yahrzeit page. Alon bachut. Colorful printed lithiograph. Germany, beginning of the 20th Century. Impressive drawings of Rachel’s Tomb, ruined Jerusalem, cemetery, cut down oak tree, streams of water and more. Verses dealing with the day of death, the Keil malei rachamim prayer and a few empty lines to fill in the name of the deceased.
