10, 118, 14, [5] pages. 27 cm. Printed at the height of the Holocaust. Including the leaves with the names of the subscribers, and the last leaf that was printed on different paper - apparently after the printing was completed - which is not found in all copies.
Owner signature on title page of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Ehrenreich [1863-1944], rabbi of Simlau and prominent rabbi of Hungary-Transylvania before the Holocaust. He authored many books. He had the opportunity to escape the Holocaust but wanted to die in sanctification of G-d's name and didn't want to abandon his community. He died in Sivan, 1944. This book features a memorial to a person who died in Adar, 1943, so that this owner signature was signed during the last year of his life.
Very fine condition, other than the blemished binding.

Many handwritten supplements throughout the book. A number of supplements signed by Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano. Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Toledano [1880-1960] was a noted manuscript researcher and author of various works. He served as Rabbi of Alexandria and then Tel Aviv, and was the Minister of Religious Affairs for the State of Israel.

The Auerbach rabbinical family were scions of the "Toldot Yaakov Yosef" of Polonnye, and predecessors of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach of Jerusalem. Additional signatures: Shmuel Ben Tzion of Safed, Sephardic signature on the title page and behind the second title page.

Rabbi Shmuel ben Vaish [1738-1812] was a Moroccan sage, who served as dayan together with Rabbi Refael Berdugo, Rabbi Baruch Toledano and Rabbi Petachya Berdugo. Refer to Malchei Rabana, p. 121 regarding this personality and a miracle that happened with him. [Otzar HaRabbanim 19138]. Additional owner signatures.

Cardboard ticket, 11x8.5 cm. Printed on one-side.
The ticket was given to yeshiva student Avraham Yitzchak Brakman from the committee of the Telshe group on the 15th of Kislev, [1918]. Signed by: Chaim Mordechai Katz, committee president. He was the son-in-law of the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Leib Bloch, founder of the famed Telshe Yeshiva. He later served as Rosh Yeshiva together with his brother-in-law, Rabbi Eliyahu Meir Bloch. He fled Lithuania in 1940, reached America, and managed to reestablish the Telshe yeshiva in Cleveland together with his brother-in-law. Refer to, Otzar HaRabbanim 6484.
