Mishneh Torah by Rabbi Moshe son of Maimon, the book of Taharot from the middle of the laws of Para Adumah chapter 6 and the books of Kinyan-Shoftim.
Specifications: 194 leaves, paper. 20x30.5 cm. Yemenite handwriting. A small amount of the end of the book of Shoftim is missing, from the laws of Malachim, chapter 11. With commentaries and comments in the margins in a range of scripts.
Background: The copyist's colophon from the 19th of Av, 1648, is at the end of the book of Nezikin (page 90a). A poem in the honor of [Ploni] which opens "My heart is excited seeking an oval and pleasant person" is on page 90b, in different writing.
Condition: Moderate-fine. Aging stains, minimal worming holes. Slight damage to text on the first and last leaves. 3 leaves are detached. New parchment binding.
Yemenite Manuscript (incomplete) with prayers for the entire year, contract forms, ketubot, gittin, etc. Mostly with upper vowelization. Individual leaves in the beginning and the middle were completed in later writing, and many pages in the second half of the manuscript were lost. With a few comments in the margins by the copyist and later owners.
Specifications: 106 leaves, paper. 20X28 cm. Yemenite writing.
Unique features: Comment on page 46b in different handwriting, possibly of the copyist: "Behold the completion of the royal crown Wednesday the 30th of Tevet ... and my name is Salam son of Yehuda Alexmadi[?] [the signature is in Arabic in Arabic letters] blessed is He who granted me the writing of the royal crown to know the secret of the honorable Name ...."
On page 47a in the margins: "Vowelization of [a] scribe, from here on ... Saadia ibn Salam HaLevi."
On page 93a: 36 tekufot beginning in 1659, but the previous page is missing and it's possible this is not the beginning of the chart.
On page 97b, in the text of the get, it is written, "The year [1900] and so we have changed in the contract," we know from here that the manuscript was written between the years 1590 and 1659.
On pages 102a - 106b: Book of Job 1:1 - 22:28. At the beginning, it says: "Vowelization of the scribe Saadia son of Rach[?..] Alchamadi."
Condition: Poor. pages 55-64, 72, 74, 78-81, 83, 88-89, 91-92, 94-96, 99-100 are lacking. Worming holes, stains, professional resoration of the leaves after wear of their perimeters. New leather binding.
"Sefer Ma'arechet HaElokut with the commentary ... Rabbi Yehuda Chayat and another commentary ... with glosses added by ... Rabbi Emmanuel ... son of Rabbi Yekutiel Ish Binyonsu," Mantua, 1558.
Unique Features: Many glosses in Yemenite handwriting which were apparently written soon after the printing, some scholarly-kabbalistic, in the book Ma'arechet Ha'Elokut.
The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book writes that the first edition, which was printed in the same year in Ferrara, contained a commentary from an unknown commentator, many parts of which were influenced by philosophers' opinions. In order to omit these paragraphs, the book was reprinted in Mantua only four months after the printing in Ferrara, and the proofreader Rabbi Emmanuel Benvento added commentaries from other authors to the Mantua edition.
Condition: Moderate - poor. Missing the title page, first [4] leaves and last leaf. Detached spine. Worming holes. Stains.
Tiklal, a large prayer book containing prayers for the entire year in the Yemenite liturgy. At the beginning: "Prayer book for the entire year." [Yemen, 17th century].
Specifications: 210 leaves, paper. 13x20 cm. Yemenite writing. Missing end.
Unique Features: Quotes Ashkenazic and Sephardic adjudicators, including Sefer HaLevush by Rabbi Mordechai Jaffe, written by different scribes. Superlinear vowels in a few places.
Condition: Moderate. Aging stains, worming holes, reinforcements, mainly without damage to text. New binding.
Commentary on Tehillim chapters 113-135. 19th-20th century.
Specifications: [18] leaves, paper. 11.5X17 cm. Yemenite script.
Unique Features: "Peirush HaHallel HaNiflah M'Yetziat Mitzraim," which is a commentary on Psalms chapters 113-135. At its end: "These words are fluent in the mouth and I will say them at all times. It is fitting to write them, meaning their explanation on what is written. And he will understand what comes out of his mouth, from what I have seen according to my limitations." Apparently not printed.
Condition: Fine. Stains. New cardboard binding.

Derech Chaim V'Avodat Mikdash, by Rabbi Menachem di Lonzano. Sa'dah [North West Yemen], 1826
Handwritten copy of the book "Derech Chaim which is a great poem with three hundred and fifteen complete verses ... mussar with its commentary, created by ... the sage ... Rabbi Menachem di Lonzano." With the book "Avodat Mikdash."
Specifications: 126 leaves, paper: Derech Chaim (pages 1-105b), Avodat Mikdash (pages 105b-122a), two leaves in different handwriting (pages 124a-126b), with leap years from 1667 through 1845. 11x16 cm. Yemenite handwriting.
Unique Features: The two works were included in Lonzano's great book Shtei Yadot (Venice, 1618). On page 122b: "The writer says I decided to write a new song which Rabbi Yosef son of Shlomo Korach wrote, and his name appears in the poem's initials, in order for my soul to be blessed." The poem begins: "The only One in the world who is great. He is exalted and fitting for praise." The transcriber's colophon from the print: "And the work was completed on Thursday Rosh Chodesh Adar II in Sa'dah ... "
