Siddur and machzor according to the custom of Pihem, Poland, Mehrin and the other holy communities. (Ashkenaz version). Large format designed for prayer leaders. In large letters, with commentaries, exegeses and halachahs.
The machzor contains two sections. First section: Sabbath prayers. Second section: Selichot for Yamim Nora'im and prayers for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, with all the liturgical poems and the Psalms. Includes the special prayers customary in the communities of Ashkenaz. A compilation of customs appears at the end of the volume. Illustrated title page with a lovely copper engraving of the patriarchs. R' Avraham of Offenbach Press, Altona [according to the Winograd DC, printed in Offenbach), [1744].

Set of [4] machzors from Proops Press.
Set, four machzors [Pesach, Shavout, Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur]. Nusach Ashkenaz. All were printed at Proops Press between 1805 and 1828. Each machzor has an additional beautiful copperplate title page with illustrations related to the relevant festival; and the printer's device - hands outstretched in blessing.

Overall fine condition. The machzor for Yom Kippur has a different binding - elegant, with gilt imprint.
Prayer leaf from WWI for Jewish soldiers to recite before going out to war. Hebrew and Italian on facing pages.
The prayer also includes the Vidui confession and "Shema Yisrael" in the event that the soldier dies suddenly at war without managing to say these prayers before his demise. Not bibliographically known.

Fine condition. Tiny tears in the folds.
