Ethical rebuke by Rabbi Altshuler, including the title page from 1703 and another one from 1706. Exceptionally rare.

The entire book is in Yiddish in Tze'enah U'Re'enah letters. Other known copies of the work feature the title page from 1706 with Workvort as the place of print and no printer's name. This copy has an additional rare title page from 1703 with the text: Printed here in Frankfurt am Main at the press of Johann Wushat. Followed by title page from 1706.

In Ginzei Yisrael - Mehlman Library #1389 the book is listed with the title page of 1703 (the copy has a blemished title page, as seen in the picture in the book). Mehlman wrote: This title page from 1703 is not known to bibliographers. The title page was changed about three years later, and therefore it is generally believed that this edition was printed in 1706. Some believe that this title page from 1703 in this copy was burned.

The complete title page is found in this copy, followed by the title page from 1706. Rare book, especially in such complete condition and with with the additional title page.

[3], 2-114 leaves, 20 cm. Antiquated notes on the endpapers. Fine conditions. Aging stains. Cropped tops of pages, affecting a number of titles. Original leather binding, dismantled.
