Daniel Bomberg (c. 1475-1549) was a Christian printer who studied printing in Antwerp. He moved to Venice while young, and opened a press in 1515. He developed new Hebrew letter fonts and made a massive financial investment in the printing of about 200 Hebrew books. He printed "Mikraot Gedolot" on the Tanach, Tosefta, the first complete printed edition of the Babylonian Talmud, the Jerusalem Talmud and Hilchot HaRi"f.

Condition: Very fine-excellent. Minimal aging stains. Minimal professionally restored worming marks in the blank margins. New, deluxe binding.
