Unique features: Unique, interesting work regarding the end of time. The author found hints that it would take place in 1740. This work generated much excitement as 1740 approached. Large copperplate frontispiece of the sacrifice of Isaac and the Hebrew words "Yaro Yiraeh." The back of the title page features approbations from the rabbis of Amsterdam followed by a poem. Complete copy.

Background: The author [1710-1823] was a rabbi, scribe and a noted doctor in Padua. He was a disciple of Rabbi Moshe Zacuto, and his disciples incuded the Ramchal who eulogized him. 

Condition: Very fine. Nice new binding. Professional restoration to the margins of the frontispiece.
