The Jewish Synagogue. Description of the interior of the Jewish Synagogue when the Holy Ark is opened and the Torah scrolls are shown to the worshippers. Illustration that was later turned into an engraving. Engraved by M. Pool. Its source is unknown. C. 1732. Explanations of synagogue procedures under the engraving. Men standing in the main hall, flanked by the women's galleries. The Holy Ark is open and the rabbi is lifting the Torah scrolls and blessing the congregation. The cantor stands next to the dais with 2 children at his side.
English. 32x44 cm. (39.5x46.5 cm. inclusive). Excellent condition. Thick, quality paper. Original fold. Fold in the blank margins of the right corner.
