A commentary on Sefer HaMordechai on the tractates of Brachot, Shabbat, Eiruvin, Pesachim, Beitza and Megillah (with the text of the Mordechai in the center of the leaf in some sections), novellae on the Talmud and the great later sages - the Maharsha, Maharam of Lublin and Maharam Shif, and a special booklet resolving the glosses written on Teshuvot Beit Yaakov, by Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel son of Rabbi Meir, Maggid of Bychów.

Unique Features: Very rare to find this book in this condition. (Bound with it is Kol Aryeh by Rabbi Aryeh Leib, Av Beit Din of Bielsk, author of Yaffeh Einayim. Vilna, 1872).

Background: There are innovative responsa and sometimes puzzling rulings in the responsa Beit Yaakov by Rabbi Yaakov, Av Beit Din of Zoizmir [Dyhernfürth, 1692], which were challenged by his contemporaries such as the Chacham Zvi and the author of Shevut Yaakov. In the book before us, his grandson comes to fight his grandfather's battle and respond to their criticism.

Condition: Very fine. A few aging stains.
