Elucidations and novellae on the Shulchan Aruch Orech Chaim by Rabbi Shmuel son of Yosef, dayan in Krakow.

Specifications: 2, 260 [should say: 60]; 10, [6], 65-114; 50 leaves. 34 cm.

Unique features: Nice copy with wide margins. Printed on thick, quality paper. Features approbations from Rabbi Yitzchak Abuhav, Rabbi Yaakov Sasportas, the rabbis of the "Arba Aratzot" that gathered at the "Vaad Pinczow" and the author of the Beit Hillel.

Subject matter: The section featuring the laws of Shabbat is titled "Olat Shabbat." This is one of the largest works on Shulchan Aruch Orech Chaim, his take on the halachot is quoted as practical halacha by the poskim, though the Magen Avraham often strongly refuted his opinion (refer to the preface of the Magen Avraham, written by the author's son).

Condition: Fine condition. Antiquated wood boards covered with leather, slightly worn with signs of clasps. Minimal aging stains.
