Novaelle and pilpulim on the Talmud by the name of "Or Chachamim" and novaelle on aggadot by the name of "Lev Chachamim" by Rabbi Binyamin Katzenelenbogen, Av Beit Din of Samtor. Frankfurt de Oder, 1752.
[2], 4-55; 10 leaves. 32cm.
On the page before the title page and on the last page are inscriptions from several writers that the book belongs to Rabbi Yosef David HaLevi Soloveichik of Volozhin, the elder of the Brisk dynasty and author of the 'Beit HaLevi'. The inscriptions describe him with fantastic descriptions, such as "whose power of sharpness is incredible", and the writers also signed.
Uncommon book. It seems that a few leaves are missing, as there are different variations.
Original faded semi-leather cover. Age stains. Small tears on the title page and professional restoration at its top. Fine condition.
