Rare photo of the funeral procession of the Chofetz Chaim, Rabbi Yisrael Meir HaKohen.

The photo depicts the bier at center, with the people holding it and many people accompanying this leader to his final destination. The Radin Yeshiva building is on the right. The procession started at the Chofetz Chaim's home and led to the yeshiva building. Rabbi Chizkiyahu Yosef Mishkovsky can be seen at front, carrying the bier; he eulogized the Chofetz Chaim near the yeshiva building.

At the upper left corner there is a small inset portrait of the Chofetz Chaim. [This portrait was taken during his lifetime, and bears the word "shlit"a." It was attached to this photo of the funeral. Refer to Meir Einei Yisrael, section 1, p. 364 and 282.]

The back of the photo has been divided into sections so that it can be used as a postcard.

size: 9x14 cm.

The bottom of the photo has some small peelings, fine condition.
