The Rambam's Mishneh Torah with Hasagot Raava"d, Migdal Oz and Hagaot Maimoniyot, including errata. Sefer Hafla'ah, Zeraim, Avodah, Korbanot, Taharah and Nezikin. Venice, Giustiniani Printing Press, 1550.

Specifications: Part II, leaves 394-585, missing title page. 41 cm. Throughout the book's leaves are ancient glosses in various hands, Oriental and Yemenite script.

This edition was at the center of a dispute between two presses, Bragadin and Giustiniani, who printed the Rambam's works at the same place and time. The halachic controversy was even brought before the Rem"a.

The conflict between the two Christian printers eventually led to a decree for the book's burning in Italy in 1553.

Moderate condition. Damage to a number of the first and last pages, with reinforcements. Aging stains. Simple, worn binding.
