A Book of Tehillim printed [written incorrectly in the Hebrew!] with extreme accuracy and in new and pleasant print, Liber, editionem Hooghtianem accuratissime, Psalmorum adornata. London, 1825.

Specifications: [45] leaves. 15 cm. Handwritten glosses in Latin.

Unique Features: A rare and special copy. Interleaved copy: Between each printed leaf is a blank leaf,  apparently meant for writing comments by hand, or in preparation for printing a translation. The blank leaves are thicker than the printed leaves. 14 blank pages were originally bound before the title page, it seems that they were also added for writing comments or names to pray for.

Content: The Tehillim were printed without vowels, in two columns, from column 413 to column 456. With cantillation. The chapter numbers are in Hebrew and Latin.

Background: The numbering of the columns leads us to understand that the book before us is part of a Bible, whose book of Tehillim was also printed separately. It is possible that the Bible was recorded in Vinograd-Rosenfeld, number 75012, according to a copy from the Tel Aviv University Library.

Condition: Very fine. A few aging stains. Original semi-leather and marbled paper binding, slightly scuffed.
