Letters from Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein of Kolomyya opposing Rabbi Ezriel Hildesheimer's plan to establish a "Shkales" school in Jerusalem. [Kolomyya, c. 1890?].

Two vehement letters sent to Rabbi Meir Auerbach and the other rabbinical leaders of Jerusalem in 1873. Contains zealous content regarding settling in the Land of Israel, and attacks the schools. In a comment on leaf 10, the author uses sharp derogatory terms alluding to elder rabbis from Pressburg and Warsaw.

The compilation was printed without place and year of print, however the comment on page 9 indicates that it was printed c. 1890, after the passing of the author of Nefesh Chayah but during the lifetime of Rabbi Hillel Lichtenstein.
