An elegy on the Herzl's death in 1904, during the publication of the book.
Ephraim Deinard [1846-1930], bibliographer, historian, and polemicist. One of the greatest bibliographers of the modern age. Known as a provocative author who wrote indiscriminately and with no inhibitions in criticism of people widely regarded as authority figures.

Propaganda on behalf of Sephardic immigrants issued by Beit HaRasha"l, Jerusalem, 1960s. English.
Vivid description of the social and mental difficulties faced by those who immigrated from the Sephardic countries[North Africa, and other countries]. The writer depicts the typical immigrant with two choices before him: to be a leader worthy of his community, or to be a gang leader. "We want Moshe to become a communal leader when he grows up, not a gang leader."
The writer describes the daily schedule of an immigrant who finishes his work in the afternoon, spends the rest of his day with nothing to do, and - with no other choice - ends up in the streets...The solution to the problem is joining "Beit HaRasha"l" in Jerusalem, where there are extended study hours, a high-quality dorm and emphasis on self-actualization.

Dan Gottleib was a student in the Reali School in Haifa in 1971 and chose to write his end-of-year essay on Dr. Mengele. He asked a few noted politicians to help him with information that was not at his disposable, including Menachem Begin, David Ben Gurion, Noach Kliger - editor of Yediot Achronot, Minister of Justice Uzi Sivan, Dr. Bar Zohar and others.
This is a file in which Dan preserved his correspondence with these personalities. It includes responses signed by Menachem Began: "I know that some outstanding details regarding that two-legged beast named Dr. Mengele are in the hands of Mr. Tuvia Friedman, head of the Institute of Documentation of Nazi War Crimes...as to a meeting, I would be happy to keep it. But, for the next two weeks I have a lot of work, primarily on the background on the historic debate, which suddenly awoken within us...and I am soon to leave the country for the ..." [In addition to the interesting topic, one can appreciate Begin's modest manner that enabled him to share current political affairs with a young boy.]
In an additional response, Minister of Justice Uzi Sivan wrote: "in regards to the judicial perspective, I think that you should study the "Nazis and Nazi collaborators law". In all, you need to write your thesis, and not about the Minister of Justice..." Along with other letters on the subject.
Additionally includes original letters with the answers from various politicians, along with the complete thesis written with their input, printed by stencil, titled "Dr. Mengele, doctor of death in the Auschwitz camp." [1] 24, [3] pages, 27 cm.
This work profoundly influenced the Institute for Documentation in Haifa. They printed 120 copies that were distributed amongst research institutions, libraries, archives and schools in the country. This work is not in the National Library.

During the years 1945-8, the British exiled the illegal immigrants who reached Israel by boat to Cyprus. Efforts were made by those in Israel to provide the exiles with study materials in the internment camps. The books before us were sent especially for them and stamped with a special stamp. We know of only very few books and booklets with this stamp that have survived.

"Devar HaMefaked [Commanders words]". A military leaf published by the headquarters of the "Blue Forces" in the IDF in 1952.
The leaf aims to raise the soldiers' motivation for the new method of warfare which will primarily take place in enemy territory, in contrast to the preventative approach within Israeli territory which had previously been prevalent. "Your job is to appear like crushing combatant forces...who are prepared, upon receiving the command, to begin a daring operation into enemy ground...you have been used to operating in a different environment, and you will now find yourselves in territories which are like a foreign country for you...".
The leaf also mocks the "Green Army" - the branch which operates according to the old means of warfare. It also contains a cartoon with the "Green crushing units" on one side, depicted in a sloppy, weak and unprofessional manner, with unprofessional weaponry, with "our forces" on the other side, depicted as orderly, strong and straight-backed soldiers holding advanced rifles.
[1] leaf [printed on both sides], 28 cm. Aging stains. Folding marks.
