Missing 18 leaves of the last pagination.

Unique features: First edition of the Tanach translated into Yiddish. At the same time, the "Witzenhausen Edition" of the Tanach was printed, generating a controversy that eventually involved the "Va'ad Arba Ha'aratzot" and the Dutch government. Refer to: A. Haberman: Perakim B'Toldot HaMadpisim HaIvri'im, p. 300-307. The title pages list the years 1676-1678. With the privilege from King John III. Sobieski of Poland, in Latin and Yiddish and approbations from the rabbis of the "Vaad Arba Ha'aratzot" and the rabbis and sages of the Sephardic community in Amsterdam.

Condition: Moderate-fine. Blemishes to the title page margins of the Torah sections. Aging stains. Antiquated, blemished leather binding.
