This sefer is adorned with a rare approbation signed by the gedolei hador , including Rabbi Mordechai Jaffe, “Ba’al HaLevushim”; and Rabbi Shmuel Eliezer Eidels – the Maharsh”a.
The author was known as a disciple of the Ram”a’s. He writes in his preface: I wrote this elucidation … all that I heard in the days of my youth from three geonei olam … R’ Yitzchak Cohen a”h … R’ Yisrael Ben … R’ Shachna ztz”l … R’ Moshe Isserel [-the Ram”a] and R’ Moshe Mardush – under whom I studied at his yeshivah in Ostroh.
