Large collection of letters, correspondence and rabbinical recommendations for Keren HaShemitta of the Poalei Agudat Yisrael from the shemitta years of 1939, 1945, and 1959. 24 items. Keren HaShemitta was established in 1937 by the Va’ad HaPoel of the Poalei Agudat Yisrael in order to financially support the farmers in the settlements who did not rely on “heter mechira”. The collection includes a booklet from the Keren HaShemitta with a collection of rabbinical letters opposing the Mizrachi rabbis from 1938; words of the most prominent Torah scholars from 1945; original letter from MK Binyomin Mintz from 1951; letter of support from the Agudat HaRabbanim in the United States, 1958; Hilchot Shemitta V’Yovel L’Rambam, 1959; A “prozbul” form; original letters to the Chazon Ish; and a copy of one of his letters.
