“… True Freedom, freedom from worries, material and spiritual …”
The letter was sent to Rabbi Alexander Sender Yudassin, one of the prominent rabbis of Chaba”d in the Holy Land, rabbi of the Chassidic community of Jaffa for approximately fifty years, a member of the Beit Din and the author of books on Sha”s and Tanya .
The Rebbe writes abundant blessings:”Towards the upcoming Chag HaMatzot, the time of our freedom, for us and the entire Jewish nation for the good, I hereby express my blessings to [you] for a kosher and happy holiday and true freedom, freedom for worries, material and spiritual … with joy and good-heartedness. And may this freedom and happiness continue all year round.” The Rebbe added in his handwriting: “[with a blessing] for good tidings in general and in particular.”
On the margins of the letter, the Rebbe added an instruction that a Jew is commanded to be involved in Divine service “all day and all night.”
The Admo”r Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson [1902-1994], seventh in the dynasty of the Admo”rs of Lubavitch, started serving as Admo”r in 1951 and continued until his passing. He was a tremendous gaon in all aspects of the Torah. His net was – and still is – cast across the entire world.
