The letter is filled with many blessings, and is signed at the conclusion מרדכי יוסף בהרב המפורסם מוהר”ר דוד זצוקלל””.
Admor Mordechai Yosef of Zlatopol was born in [1863] to Admor Rabbi Dovid of Zlatopol who was a son of Admor Yochanan of Rachmastrivka and a relative of many Russian Admors. He was known for his genius and righteousness, though he tried to conceal his greatness. In the Russian pogroms of 1920 he moved to Warsaw, where he passed away in 1929. His sons-in-law include Admor Avraham Elimelech of Karlin and Admor Yisrael Elazar of Koznitz. [Refer to: Encyclopedia L’Chassidut, 20, 237-238]. Noted on his stationery: ‘Presently in Warsaw’.
