Draft of a eulogy in the hand of Rabbi Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz for an outstanding educator in the Bait Yaakov network. Rabbi Michel Yehuda extols the deceased who was great in deeds and righteousness. “She merited to educate the daughters of Israel in the fondations of modesty and good character traits…many principals are distressed by some of their teachers, and there are even homeroom teachers who do not serve as proper examples for daughters of Israel which bears spoiled fruit in future generations…” The eulogy also discusses Heaven and Hell. There is also a line in which Reb Michel Yehuda terms the sons of the deceased “Torah Giants,” with a mark on top of these words indicating that they were to be omitted during the eulogy. Letters written by R’ Michel Yehuda Lefkowitz are uncommon.
