The book opens with poems by the author’s teacher, Rabbi Shmuel Archevolti, author of the Arugat HaBosem, and by Rabbi Azarya Figo, author of Gidulei Terumah. The book includes eulogies for Italian Torah leaders including one for Rabbi Shmuel Yehudah Katzenelbogen, son of the Maharam of Padua (leaf 63b); eulogy for Rabbi Avigdor Zuvidal (leaf 71) and elegy upon the death of his rebbe, Rabbi Moshe Bassola, in Hebrew and Italian (leaf 80b).
