He was born in the Ukraine and affiliated with the School of Paris. In the 1920’s, his pictures received extensive attention in Paris, where he became famous. Many of his works depict Israeli landscapes and the Jews of the ghettos. He immigrated to Israel in 1958 and settled in Haifa. Size of the painting: 23×31 cm. Frame: 58×48 cm. Very fine condition.
