Poster. Request for financial assistance for the establishment of the Sefat Emet yeshiva. Jerusalem, Elul, 1925.
Due to the many new immigrants from various countries, primarily Poland, there was a heightened need for a large Torah center which could provide for the needs of the religious immigrants. The Polish Torah leaders decided to establish a yeshiva headed by the Rebbe of Gur, Avraham Mordechai Alter, and his son-in-law Rabbi Yaakov Meir Biderman.
