Collection of documents from the “Zionist Zofim movement” – the Shivtei HaBonim B’Eretz Yisrael – 1940s. * Tens of handwritten letters dated in the 1940s: Correspondence between members of the movement that indicate the prevalent philosophies that led the movement at the time [also contains romantic correspondence between two members]. * Official leaves with the movement’s emblem, two pencil illustrations of the movement’s emblem. * Bita’on Shevet HaBonim B’Eretz Yisrael, Tammuz 1945 – one-time-only publication, with the title: “Internal – not for sale.” The title page features a photo of the victory parade of the Shivtei HaBonim, with a sign in the background bearing the text: “A front of Jewish youth will be established to breach the gates for the establishment of a Jewish State”. Rare. This was apparently the only journal that was published. It is not in the National Library. The content of the collection has not been thoroughly examined. All the items are generally in fine condition, other than some aging stains on some of them.
