“Will be pulled from above on the line of love and lovingkindness … without boundaries or restrictions, all the way down, materially and spiritually as one.” The letter was sent to Rabbi Alexander Sender Yudasin, one of the most prominent Chabad rabbis in the Holy Land. He was rabbi of Jaffa’s Chassidic community for nearly half a century, a member of the Beit Din, and author of books on Talmud and Tanya. New York, 1960. In his letter, the Rebbe writes of kabbalah and Chassidism, and also mentions the kabbalistic significance of month [from Mishnat Chassidim]. The Rebbe’s letter extensively discusses the virtue of “ahavah” [love]. In addition, the Rebbe adds a line (reprimand?), “And may it be His will that since we have entered the month of Elul, which is a month for reflection on the entire past year; reflection to fill that which is lacking, that there will no longer be need for letters full of explanations for the absence of actions.” [1] official letterhead (aerogram). 30×18 cm. Typewritten, with a signature in his hand at the bottom, plus a word and two corrections in his handwriting. Very fine condition.
