Letter sent to Rabbi Alexander Sender Yudasin, one of the most prominent Chabad rabbis in the Holy Land. He was the rabbi of Jaffa’s Chassidic community for nearly half a century, a member of the Beit Din, and author of books on Talmud and Tanya. New York, 1957. In his interesting letter, the Rebbe prays for a miracle … regarding the success of the “shlichut” [promlugation of Judaism among the non-observant]. Although it is forbidden to benefit from a miracle, this case is different. The Rebbe complains, among other issues, about insufficient activity in fulfilling the “shlichut.” In addition, he presents a halachic ruling regarding writing a Torah scroll per Chabad’s custom, and he gives the instruction not to publicize his teachings because the opponents will “do the opposite.” [1] Official letterhead (aerogram). 18X30 cm. Typewritten with his signature in his hand, and many corrections in his handwriting. Very fine condition.
