Seder Minchah shel Shabbat . Photographs. Bukhara, 1940s. [22] photo pages, 12×8.5 cm. Original binding. Includes the Shabbat afternoon prayers with ‘karbanot’. Bukhara, like all other republics in the Soviet Union, suffered from a lack of prayer books. This was a creative solution: The pages of a prayer book were photographed, the film developed, and the photos were bound together as a book. Authentic memento from Jewish life in the Communist regime. Original, characteristic cardboard binding, with a vowelized Hebrew title: סדר מנחה של שבת.

Machzor for Yom Kippur with many supplements, in two volumes. Title page for each book. Rare book listed by the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book according to a private library. The copy in the National Library was recently received from the Valmadonna collection.
Some handwritten leaves were added to this volume, with various prayers and hymns.
