The author writes in his preface: “I have had the privilege of serving the true gaon [many honorifics] Rabbi Eliyahu z”l of Vilna, and being in his presence was enough to absorb a whiff of his essence, and I absorbed that it is improper to go in a crooked way through various commentaries …”

Book of Tehillim printed with close examination by Christopher Plantin in 1581 in the great city of Anvers [Antwerp]. Written on the title page: “Psalmi.”
Small format Tehillim, printed on its own and not as part of the Tana”ch. With vowelization and cantillation, and with text as read [קרי] and as written [כתיב]. Title page inside a beautiful border.
Rare book. The copy in the National Library is from the Valmadonna collection.

The first title page is illustrated with biblical pictures, and there are additional illustrated title pages for Early Prophets, Later Prophets, and Writings. This is a complete copy with all the leaves at the end: Verses to recite before and after Torah, Nevi’im and Ketuvim and the schedule for reading Torah, Nevi’im and Ketuvim each week in order to complete all of it each year.
Magnificent edition of the entire Tana”ch, and as written by Amsterdam rabbis in the introduction: “Every effort was made so that nothing is lacking, no expense was spared; wise and understanding proofreaders undertook this task … along with an elegant script using precise and illuminating letters on beautiful paper.

Volume II: Selichot for the month of Elul, prayers for Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot and Simchat Torah. Selichot for a day designated as a public fast, and various other prayers.
Both volumes contain instructions, laws and many customs. Part II, on page 300b: “Songs for Simchat Torah composed by the G-dly Kabbalist, HaRav HaKollel, Rabbi Yosef Piamenta, z”l.”

Sefer Tehillim in Assyrian script, beautiful vowelized scribal lettering, with the “Yehi Ratzon” said before reciting Tehillim, and the bakashah for praying after Tehillim. Israel, Twenty-first century.
It is known that pious, accomplished people are particular to pray from Assyrian script, especially on parchment.
