The author conducted a historic study – as he wrote on the title page. He even collected much material from Jewish sources regarding educating children, both from rabbinical sources and rare documents.
Most of the book is in Yiddish with various chapters in Hebrew. Introduction in Hebrew. The end of the book features a curriculum for all grades of the Talmud Torah. A page with border for each class. The curriculum is for a Jewish Sunday School from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and morning summer classes. The eighth grade also learned on Shabbat afternoon. Includes letters from American rabbis. To the best of our knowledge, this was the first Jewish book printed in Canada and Montreal.
