The book opens with rabbinical approbations: Rabbi Yaakov David Ridvaz, Rabbi Yitzchak Yeruchem Diskin, and an enthusiastic approbation from Rabbi Kook: “How great is your deeds, you mighty man, blessed is Hashem who strengthened your hands … to start and finish this great work … with a true heart and pure desire on behalf of our nation and on behalf of the cities of our G-d and His holy land ….”
The author was born in Slutzk in 1847 and immigrated to the Land of Israel in 1895, where he passed away in 1925.
