“Tale that was hidden and concealed, for an infinite number of days, and was now brought to print under the instruction of…Rabbi Elyakim Karmoli.”
The publisher, Elyakim Getsel ben Dovid Behr (1802-1875),pen name “Elyakim Karmoli,” notes in his introduciton to the book that “though the name Yaakov was attributed to it, the body of the short book indicates that he was not the author.” It seems that this book was adapted by the publsher himself, based on the “Medrash Eser Galyot.”
