The author, Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Gershon Lesser (1834-1924) was a student of the Mir Yeshiva, Rabbi of Amstivova, and Ludvinove and, in 1880, Rabbi in Chicago where he served as President of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis. He authored the “Chidushei Beis Medrash” which received the approbation of the Netziv of Volozhin.
Modern, cardboard binding. Title pages are reinforced in the margins. Tears in the margins of one title page and another leaf, without loss. Moderate – fine condition. Rare.
