Teshuvot Riv”a (two letters); a letter to the gaon Rabbi Yechezkel Bennet, Av Beit Din of Nitra; on one page he cites an enormous difficulty he himself heard from the mouth of the gaon [Rabbi Pinchas Leib Friedman], Av Beit Din of Komárno.
The gaon Rabbi Asher Baruch Perles , dayan of the Baia community, was a disciple of the Chata”m Sofer [and apparently also of the gaon Rabbi Elyakim Getz Shevrin, Av Beit Din of Baia]. He served for many years as dayan of Baia. He cites his rabbis’ words in several places in these letters. [Kuntslicher,
