Rabbi Ya’akov Gordon was born in Lithuania to his father, the righteous gaon R’ Menachem Mendel Gordon. He immigrated to Manchester, then moved to Southport and Bournemouth. He inherited a fortune from his brother. He was an expert in all the Torah’s secrets, a diligent and deep scholar; prolific across all fields of Torah: homiletics, Talmudic novellae and Torah novellae. Dozens of his articles were published in the most important Torah platforms.
