Ashkenazic manuscript – bundle of forty leaves, insights on Choshen Mishpat. C. mid-1700s. The writer extensively discusses novellae from the Ketzot HaChoshen , Netivot HaMishpat and Yeshuot Ya’akov , and deliberates them.
The writer’s identity is uncertain. Quill trials and some of the letters bound among the leaves include the following names: “To the honorable HaRav HaCharif U’Baki HaGadol HaMefursam Rabbi Aryeh Leib [HaKohen Rapoport], av beit din of Galina …”; ” HaRav HaMeor HaGadol HaGaon HaMefursam Mo’ Binyamin av beit din of Halberstadt.”
