With an approbation from Rabbi Akiva Eiger, who writes about the book’s virtues. He adds that two years previously, when he was in Warsaw for his son Rabbi Shlomo’s wedding, and he saw a copy of the first edition there, he wanted to expend a large sum of money to copy the book. However, it did not work out.
Rabbinic owner’s signatures on the title page, from: Yisrael … of Lissa, with his stamp. Rabbi Yisrael Kara of Lissa was a dayan and moreh tzeddek in Glona, rabbi in Zlotvoy and in Friestadt ( Otzar HaRabbanim 12057). The back flyleaf bears many inscriptions and owners’ signatures.
