scroll of Esther. Ink on parchment is in a silver case with embossed decorations. Stamped with manufacturer’s stamp J.C.V. – John collard Vickery and the English LION stamps – England 1916.
The scroll of the “king” [most of the columns open in the “King” word] Stam Beit Yosef [Ashkenazi], handsome, 21 lines in the column, a pellet in a holster decorated with frizzy work, the handle in the shape of a Snake Fish- apparently welded at a later time.
Paper height: 11 cm, vaginal height: 26 cm. The scroll is in very good condition. The rolling mechanism of the scroll is correct. The kashrut of the Megillah was not examined. Slight damage to the lower part of the sphincter.
