Carved elephant tooth – ivory, Liberia [West Africa], 1988.
Impressive delicate carving of African animals: lions, leopards, elephants, hippopotamus on both sides of the tooth. The tooth has a wooden stand with a metal tongue for display.
Length: 62 cm. Maximum diameter: 6 cm.
The part of the tooth that was originally connected to the palette is cut in the shape of an asymmetrical break. Fine condition.
