Sefer Torei Zahav al Hilchot Ribit with the Shulchan Aruch text by the Admo”r Rabbi Mordechai Dov of Hornosteipel, one of the prominent Admo”rim, whose blessing resulted in the Steipler’s birth – his fellow townsman, the author of Kehillot Ya’akov (refer to the biographies in the Hebrew catalog text). Jerusalem, 1936. First edition. Segulah book. Printed dedication with a handwritten addition by the Admo”r Rabbi Ben Tziyon Yehudah Twerski, son of the sacred author.
Sefer Torei Zahav by the Hornosteipeler Rebbe – one of the leading Admo”rim of all generations, is considered a segulah book due to the promise in the introduction from his son and successor, the Admo”r Rabbi Ben Tziyon Yehuda Leib of Hornosteipel, to purchasers of this sefer : “With a doubled and redoubled blessing, I bless all who buy this sefer . The merit of my father, the sacred tzaddik, will stand by him to be blessed with an abundance of goodness and much blessing, and he will merit to see children and grandchildren occupied with Torah and mitzvahs.”
Additional private dedication in this pedigree copy by the Admo”r Rabbi Ben Tziyon Yehuda Leib of Hornosteipel in which he gives blessings for “long life and plentiful livelihood.” The inner side of the front flyleaf has a slip of paper pasted on it with the Rebbe’s printed and signed dedication, together with his own script: “May blessing enter [your] home … so that [you] will be blessed with long life, plentiful sustenance and all goodness, spiritually and materially.” The addressee’s name is written in the Rebbe’s own penmanship as well.
