Warsaw, [post-1818]. Only edition, hard to find. Incomplete copy.
Approbations at the beginning of the sefer from the Rebbe Rabbi Moshe Elyakim Briyah of Kozhnitz, Mahara”l Tzintz, Rabbi Yisrael Halperin, av beit din of Wengrov and Rabbi Eliyahu Speigel, av beit din of Dzikov.
Especially rare sefer . To the best of our knowledge, it has never before appeared at auction. Hebrewbooks contains a scan of leaves 1-17 only, and this is the copy scanned in Otzar HaChochmah as well (the National Library only has a referral to the incomplete copy appearing in Hebrewbooks ).
Yehoshua Mondshine wrote that the author was one of the most prominent disciples of Chassidic luminaries of the third generation – Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berdichev, the maggid of Kozhnitz, the maggid Rabbi Yechiel of Józefów, the maggid Rabbi Moshe of Stanov and others. This fact is gleaned from two handwritten volumes by the author of Alufei Yehuda that contain insights from these leading Admo”rim and maggidim . These volumes are presently preserved in the National Library in Jerusalem. Mondshine points out that in this sefer , the author quotes two important Chassidic sefarim : Keter Shem Tov and Likkutei Amarim . (For more about the author, refer to his article in the anthology Siftei Tzaddikim III pp. 7-10; a copy of this article is included.)
