Cloth cover with pockets for the matzah, cotton and linen thread, embroidered with leaves and flowers. From Germany or Hungary, 19th century.
Featured on the cover’s center is an embroidered lamb, above which is the orange embroidered inscription: “Mendel Shlesinger,” the words “shel Pesach,” and a Torah crown. The cover has embroidered lace on the edges.
