The collection includes protocols from meetings of community leaders, deeds of sale, a ketubah and various letters.
Among the signatories on the documents: Rabbi Pinchas Sakotch, Av Beit Din of Griegshaber [Kriegshaber], one of the prominent rabbis of the district, who corresponded extensively with the author of Bigdei Kehunah , Rabbi Moshe b”r Shmuel Ya’akov, rabbinic instructor of Binzwangen.
The Jewish community of Binswangen [Binzwangen in Jewish sources] in the Schwaben region was ancient, known to have had Jewish habitation from the second half of the 16th century. Refer to: Pinkas HaKehillot, Bavaria (Jerusalem, 1977) pp. 610-611.
