Volume 2/9, [9] 368 pages, 18 cm. Includes illustrations and engravings. Der Jude was issued between 1768-1772 in nine volumes, edited by apostate Selig Gottfried. The work includes the history and customs of the Jews. The author wrote it to make peace between the Christians and Jews. The book then earned opposition from both sides! The Jews claimed that its true goal was to convert Jews to Christianity, and the Christians claimed that it lacked historical veracity and presented a false neutrality. Some sections with worming holes, spine in disrepair, moderate-fine condition.
