Unique, rare treatise. Description of a ‘dialogue’ that took place between the year that ended -1800, and the year that was just beginning – 1801. The ‘dialogue’ relates to the Frankist movement, an outgrowth of the Sabbatean movement, which followed Jacob Frank. Prague, 1800. Only edition.
[2], 36 pages. 12 cm. The authored concealed his name with the term ‘ish ohev emet’. Some believe that it was authored by Baruch Ben Yonah Yatlish, author of “HaOrev”, Salonica [really Vienna], 1795. “HaOrev” also relates to the polemic in the Prague community. Some believe that “HaOrev” was authored by Rabbi Shaul ben Rabbi Zvi Hirsh Levin of Berlin, a grandson of the Chacham Zvi, author of ‘Besamim Rosh”.
