Unknown handwriting. Composition refuting Christian claims, published as Derech Emunah. Early 19th century. 15 pages. Loose-leaf. 18×9.5 cm. Cursive, Eastern handwriting on both sides of pages. The composition was written to refute the evangelical book Matai. Pages are missing from the middle of chapter 31 to the end. The anonymous writer quotes letters of the Radak and others, and mentions the Rashbatz (Shimon ben Tzemach Doran) whose book Keshet U’Magen was first printed in 1785. Therefore, it seems that this composition was written shortly after that time. This composition, Derech Emunah, is previously unknown and is therefore a rare discovery. Bound with a printed book, Mapat HaShamayim by Michel Weber. Warsaw, 1889. Tear on page 1 that damages last line. Aging stains. Fine condition.
